Boys & Girls Club expands its summer camp

Club now accepting students for Paso Robles and Atascadero summer camp

The Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County announced this week the expansion of its award winning kids’ Summer Brain Gain program to Atascadero. “We are thrilled to be starting a new Atascadero summer camp for kids based on the successful program we have been running in Paso Robles,” says Board Chair Todd Evenson.

For years the Boys & Girls Club has been providing the Paso Robles community a safe and positive place for parents and caregivers to bring their children and now the club is in a position to offer the same to the Atascadero residents.

The summer camp for both locations will be available to kids in grades from Kindergarten through eighth grade Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Kids will be given breakfast, lunch and a snack.

The club’s award winning program will include the Summer Brain Gain program to help put a stop to summer learning loss and better prepare kids for the next school year.

Kids at the Paso Robles and Atascadero summer camp will also enjoy field trips to the Charles Paddock Zoo, the Paso Robles Children’s Museum, the beach, the park and many more. The club is bringing in many talented instructors to provide entertainment for the kids and offer free swimming, arts and crafts, recreational activities and water games.

“Participating in a quality summer program at the Boys & Girls Club will help your child stay ready to achieve while having fun,” Evenson says.

The cost for this comprehensive camp is just $500 for the entire summer. The tuition includes everything listed above. Space in the summer camp is limited and is expected to fill quickly. There are 120 spots available in Paso and only 40 spots available for Atascadero.

An application and $75 will hold your child’s spot. The Boys & Girls Club summer camp is located at the clubhouse on the Flamson Middle School campus in Paso Robles and at the Atascadero Bible Church in Atascadero.
