Brown Butter Cookie Company, a celebrated Central Coast bakery based in Cayucos, opened a new retail store in the nostalgic Acorn Building at Park and 12th streets in downtown Paso Robles. The new shop opened over Labor Day Weekend.
The business is owned by Traci and Crista Hozie. They first rose to local fame with their brown butter cookie topped with sea salt. They now bake more than a dozen varieties of cookies from small to large and lemon to chocolate. The Paso Robles location is a retail operation. The owners will continue to bake their cookies in Cayucos.
Clothing retailer Velvet recently moved its store from the location at 801 12th Street to the Wells Fargo Plaza in the 500 block of Spring St.
