CEO of Meathead Movers joins the board of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence
–After successfully launching the Move To End DV nonprofit in 2016, Meathead Movers CEO Aaron Steed announces his spot on the board of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV). Upon joining the board, Steed gifted the Move To End DV foundation to NCADV to continue to spearhead the initiative and grow the available resources for those in need.
“NCADV was a founding partner of our organization and we’ve always relied on them as the expert in the domestic violence prevention space,” said Steed. “I am honored to have been selected to join the board of NCADV and look forward to continuing to support the organization and maintaining a strong leadership role in progressing Move To End DV under this new umbrella.”
Outside of the many charitable initiatives that Steed leads, he is most well known for the free moving services that Meathead Movers provides to victims of domestic violence fleeing abusive situations.
“From the day I heard about the services Meathead Movers provides to victims and survivors of domestic violence and met Aaron and others involved in this effort, I knew that we wanted him to become more involved in the work our organization does,” said Ruth Glenn, president and CEO of NCADV. “We have loved working alongside Aaron and his team to grow Move To End DV and together we will continue to offer these and other invaluable services to people who need it most.”
In addition to overseeing the transition of Move To End DV, Steed will take on typical board member duties of working collaboratively to grow the organization and move toward its mission of ending domestic abuse once and for all.
Move to End DV was founded by Meathead Movers, a for-profit student athlete moving company that provides free moving services to victims of domestic violence, Move To End DV’s mission is to encourage 10,000 businesses all over the world to donate free products or services to shelters, victims and survivors of domestic violence. By connecting shelters and businesses all over the world, Move To End DV aims to change the way communities respond to domestic violence situations, help victims and survivors to start a new life through comprehensive community support, and help put an end to abuse once and for all.
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence is the voice of victims and survivors. The nonprofit is the catalyst for changing society to have zero tolerance for domestic violence. NCADV does this by affecting public policy, increasing understanding of the impact of domestic violence, and providing programs and education that drive that change.
