Christian radio station KLIFE-FM changes its name

KLIFE-FM of San Luis Obispo announced today that it is changing its station name and brand to LIFE 89.3. The change to the station name reflects a new season of music and ministry to the Central Coast, the station said in a press release.

Life-89.3“After 20 years of being an the air, we realized that re-evaluating who we are and who we are trying to reach was a necessity,” said Larry Walters, the station’s general manager. “Our goal is to be locally unique from other Christian stations. While our music will remain contemporary, we will also be bringing back some of our listeners favorite music from the past.”

“LIFE 89.3 will continue to connect people to the body of Christ,” the press release says. In addition to Christian music, listeners will enjoy short inspirational messages, and suggestions for how to get involved with local non profits and churches with the goal of encouraging listeners to grow in their Christian faith.

“We have a strategic plan to come alongside local Christian nonprofit organizations, ministries, and churches to help them better share how they are serving Jesus by serving others along the Central Coast,” said Matt Williams, the station’s program director.

LIFE 89.3 encourages the Central Coast community to tune into 89.3 on the radio, listen online at life893.com.
