Council plans to move meetings up to 6:05 p.m.

City Council meeting times– At its regular Tuesday night meeting, The Paso Robles City Council directed city staff to prepare an ordinance to move city council meetings from 7:30 p.m. to 6:05 p.m. The city’s municipal code currently sets forth the date and time of regular city council meetings – first and third Tuesdays starting at 7:30 p.m.

The odd time of 6:05 was agreed on because local radio station KPRL 1230 AM provides live broadcasts of the city council meetings and could only accommodate a starting time as early as 6:05 p.m. to meet their broadcasting schedule, according to a city staff report.

“Assuming formal action is taken to change the start time at each of the next two meetings, October Council meetings would begin at 6:05 p.m..,” says City Manager Jim App.
