‘College for Kids’ kicks off June 16

Cuesta College graduation ceremonyApproximately 200 local youth are registered to take part in Cuesta College’s 27th annual College for Kids summer program and spots are still available for more kids to take part.

The six-week program begins Monday, June 16, on the San Luis Obispo Campus of the college and provides an enriching opportunity during the summer months for students entering 5th through 9th grades in the fall of 2014. The varied curriculum offers classes in areas such as cooking and nutrition, music and performing arts, science, business and finance, and photography, among others. The courses are designed to meet the needs of younger students who are eager to explore subjects in a fun and educational environment.

There are two sessions available for students to take part; session I runs June 16th to July 2nd, and session II from July 7th to July 24th. For information on the program, registration, fees, and parent-student orientation dates, go to http://www.cuesta.edu/communityprograms/college-for-kids-youth-programs/collegeforkids/index.html or call the Community Programs Department at (805) 546-3132.
