Construction begins on Ayres Resort in Paso Robles

Ayres Resort will bring 225-room hotel and wellness spa to Paso Robles

Construction on the Ayres Resort in Paso Robles is moving forward. Crews are currently installing the underground plumbing and electric utilities. They are expected to start on the foundations in a week or two, according to a city official.

The Paso Robles City Council approved last year plans for the new full-service resort and spa to be built on Buena Vista Drive. The Ayres Resort and Spa is set to have 225 guest rooms, a fine dining restaurant, on-site spa, boutique, 20 guest villas and 5,000 sq. ft. of conference space.

The grounds will include a pool, spa, bocce ball courts, vineyards, olive orchards, and a variety of classic meditation gardens. This project will provide jobs for more than 300 workers during construction and 30 to 40 permanent resort jobs upon opening, according to the city. Ayres Hotels anticipates that the tax revenue in the first year will be $458,000.
