Council approves funds to repair storm damage
The Paso Robles City Council on Tuesday approved spending $680,000 to repair damage to the city’s sewer system caused by Hurricane Dolores. The city received nearly 3.6-inches of rain in less than eight hours during the July 19 storm, causing flood damage throughout the westside of town.
The funds will allow the city to undertake clean-up and maintenance of storm water culverts and pipes, repair damaged pipes, and modify the 12th Street improvement project to include a sediment catchment in the roadway at the western city limits, according to City Manager Jim App.
Approximately $380,000 will come from general fund reserves for maintenance & repairs, and $300,000 from supplement taxes for the 12th Street modification.
