– Colt Ford opened up on the main stage of the Mid-State Fair Sunday night and performed songs such as “Chicken and Biscuits,” “No Trash in My Trailer,” “Driving Around Song,” “Washing in the Mud.” His microphone stand held a huge American Flag and he praised our military, saying he “couldn’t be doing this tonight if it was for them” protecting our freedom.

He said he dedicated his “Working On” song and it’s proceeds to benefit the men and women serving our military who suffer from PTSD. Both performers expressed their appreciation for our nation’s military.

Brantley Gilbert sang his No. 1 hit, “Country Must be Country Wide” and the crowd went wild. Other songs included “Fall into Me,” “One Hell of an Amen” and “You Don’t know her Like I Do”.

There were American flags for sale as well as a chance to go back stage to meet Brantley Gilbert.

Between shows, a member of the Paso Robles based non-profit “Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs” showed a video on how they are helping veterans overcome the past experiences and move forward into a life of purpose, Their mission is to “assist our nation’s military Warriors and families find a new life purpose through a hope in Christ, after enduring hardship through their service to America.” For more information, visit www.MightyOaksPrograms.org.
