Cuesta College celebrates Constitution Day 

Constitution DayThe Associated Students of Cuesta College is celebrating Constitution Day over a two-day period at the San Luis Obispo and North County campuses. Constitution Day is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is observed on Sept. 17, the day the Constitution was signed in 1787.

The annual celebration on the North County Campus, located at 2800 Buena Vista Drive in Paso Robles, will take place on Wednesday, September 17, from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Dallons Hall, room N3102. The event will feature a presentation by Cuesta College Student Veterans Association President Jim Stitt and Constitution trivia.

On Thursday, the celebration will continue on the San Luis Obispo Campus from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center Courtyard, located in front of the bookstore. Multiple speakers will attend, including San Luis Obispo City Mayor Jan Marx, Cuesta College Student Veterans Association President Jim Stitt and Cuesta College Superintendent/President Gil Stork. In attendance will be SLO Vice Mayor Carlyn Christianson and SLO County Supervisor Debbie Arnold. The event will also feature a voter registration booth.
