Cuesta College plans three summer sessions

Cuesta College summer schoolFor the first time ever, Cuesta College will be offering three separate summer school sessions in order to better serve the needs of students and the community. Students will be able to check out the approximately 315 courses being offered in four, six and eight week increments on Friday, March 28th, when the schedule becomes available online at Cuesta’s Class Finder site (https://ssb.cuesta.edu:9040/prod/syk_class_finder.p_basic_search). Students can begin applying online for the summer semester on April 1st and priority registration begins April 14th.

Students will be able to choose from the following options:

  • Session 1: June 2-June 26 (4 weeks, Monday-Friday)
  • Session 2: June 16-July 24 (6 weeks: Monday-Thursday)
  • Session 3: June 16-August 7 (8 weeks: Monday-Thursday)

“The increase in summer school offerings will benefit students by providing them with a wide range of courses, both general education and career technical education,” said Deb Wulff, Cuesta College vice president of academic affairs. “Another advantage of offering three summer sessions is that students will have the opportunity to enroll in more than one summer session with the potential to complete several courses over the summer, which could lead to a degree, certificate or transfer opportunity.”

Courses are $46 per unit. Courses will be offered on-site at the San Luis Obispo Campus and Paso Robles Campus, and online. For more information on summer school, please visit http://cuesta.edu/summerstarts/ or call (805) 546-3100.
