Dick Wilhoit named Roblan of the Month
The Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce is honoring Dick Wilhoit as the November Roblan of the Month.
The Wilhoit family has been active in community service and businesses in Northern SLO County since 1916. Mr. Wilhoit continues the tradition as president and CEO of Estrella Associates, a development company based in Paso Robles for the last 29 years.
Mr. Wilhoit has been involved with the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast for the past 25 years. He is its past president and a life director. He believes in strengthening the local building economy through business affiliations with other members. Wilhoit is also a life director of the California Building Industry Association and is currently past chair for the California Homebuilding Foundation. He serves as commissioner on the Housing Authority of Paso Robles in the current capacity of chairman. He is a Board member of the SLO County Housing Trust Fund and is a member of the board of directors and immediate past chairman ￼for the Central Coast Economic Forecast.
Mr. Wilhoit is very active in local education and was a longtime school board member of Pleasant Valley, Paso Robles High School and Paso Robles Joint Unified School districts. He was the Board President in 1997, the year following the merger of the Paso Robles elementary and high school districts, and served on the district’s Career Technical Education Advisory Committee and the Applied Technology Academy Advisory Committee.
Mr. Wilhoit supports the local YMCA for children, the local Rotary Club and Relay for Life, in addition to donating the River Oaks Hot Springs facilities for use by Kermit King Elementary students as well as the Paso Robles High School Golf Club.
