Downtown streets closing for 4th of July celebration

In honor of our city’s 125th Anniversary and the 4th of July, there will be an Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration with fireworks and concerts in the park on Friday, July 4th in the downtown city park. For details on this all-day event, please see the story on the Paso Robles 4th of July celebration.

In order to make these events safe for participants and those attending the events, the Paso Robles Police Department will be closing streets in the downtown area beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday.

Police ask people attending the event to follow the directions of uniformed law enforcement and traffic control personnel to ensure the efficient flow of traffic. Any vehicles found in violation of parking regulations will be subject to citation and/or tow.

Police say all codes and regulations will be strictly enforced. No fireworks, other than approved public displays, are allowed. If you possess or use fireworks, even Safe and Sane, you may be issued a citation and could be billed for emergency response. Dogs and unauthorized, unlicensed vendors are not allowed in the park during this event.

Individuals viewing the show from other locations must have permission to be on private property.
