Eight arrested in north county gang sweep
Meth, rifles, handguns seized in gang enforcement raids
Local authorities conducted a gang enforcement sweep on Saturday that resulted in eight arrests. The enforcement sweep targeted known gang members, adult and juvenile, that were on probation. The operation covered the north county including Paso Robles, San Miguel, Shandon, and Atascadero.
As a result of the enforcement sweep, four adults and four juveniles were arrested on various charges, and approximately 11 grams a methamphetamine were seized. A cache of weapons was also discovered at a rural Paso Robles residence where 4 rifles, 1 shotgun, 4 handguns, and 7 revolvers were recovered and seized.
The Paso Robles Police Department conducted the gang raids in conjunction with the San Luis Obispo County Probation Department, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force, Atascadero Police Department, and the Atascadero State Hospital Police Department K9 unit.
The following people were arrested in the gang sweep:
- Erika Almirol, DOB 06-11-91, of Paso Robles was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Nichol Green, DOB 03-22-79, of Paso Robles was arrested on two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Daniel Machado, DOB 10-18-58, of Paso Robles, was arrested on warrants.
- Nicholas Watson, DOB 06-08-84, of Atascadero was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance for sale, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
- A 17-year-old juvenile of Paso Robles was arrested for a probation violation.
- A 16-year-old juvenile of Paso Robles was arrested for a probation violation.
- A 16-year-old juvenile of Shandon was arrested for a probation violation.
- A 15-year-old juvenile of Atascadero was arrested for a probation violation.
