Halloween Costume Contest sponsored by the Paso Robles Daily News
Every Halloween season there are some wicked souls out there creating terrific costumes, the likes of which we’ve never seen. This year we want to see yours!
Amaze us with your original, clever, cute, scary, brilliant or unique costumes. You can even come up with, and make one all on your own. But that’s not necessary to enter this contest. Feel free to use store-bought costumes and accessories in the creation of your entry or make it entirely original. Now, get yourself, your kids or your friend dressed up and take a photo.
The next step is easy! Just post a photo of your costume to our Facebook page using this link – Paso Robles Daily News on Facebook. We also ask you to give us a little info. We want to know the story. Like what made you think of your costume idea, to how you made it and what kind of a reaction you get when you did wear it.
The winners will get prizes – a total of $200 in gift certificates to local restaurants. Judging will be based 50 percent on the overall scariness or cuteness, 25 percent on the originality of the costume, and 25 percent on the story behind the costume. All photos must be original and taken during the 2013 Halloween season. Deadline is midnight on Oct. 31, 2013. Winners will be announced by November 4, 2013.
Now, it’s time to get cracking and get those creative juices flowing. We know you are going to come up with the best costume ideas ever. The winning costumes will be posted here on our site, so if you win, your costume will live on in infamy.
