FEMA ‘CERT’ training course offered starting Oct. 16
–FEMA is offering a special disaster training course for citizens, the Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) Basic Training Course.
During a large scale emergency or disaster, emergency service personnel may not be able to reach everyone right away. You can learn how to protect your family, assist your neighbors, and help your community, during and after a disaster.
This program is being broken into 4 classroom sessions and ends with a hands-on training activity. There is a $35 donation fee that must be paid by cash or check.
Attendees must register and attend ALL portions of the course to complete the training.
CERT: Basic Training Course:
Units 1 & 2: Wednesday, Oct. 16, 6 – 9 p.m.
Units 3 & 4: Wednesday, Oct. 23, 6 – 9 p.m.
Units 5 & 6: Wednesday, Oct. 30, 6 – 9 p.m.
Units 7 & 8 Wednesday, Nov. 6, 6 – 9 p.m.
Review Saturday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
