Fresh bread rising daily at Paso Robles Bakery

Paso Robles Bakery serving breads, pastries, danish

A new bakery opened in town recently offering fresh baked breads and more. After running a bakery in Berkeley, CA for the past 38 years, David Morris decided to relocate the business here, next to the Chamber of Commerce on Park St.

Visitors are greeted by a rack of fresh-baked breads and several glass cases of cookies, brownies, cakes, pies, pastries and danish. He even offer brioche. His specialties include a flour-less chocolate cake and Linzer torte with local almonds.

A review by Steph P. on Yelp reports, “Berkeley-quality bread and pastries in Central Coast. Pain au chocolat, almond croissants. For roughly a buck or so, there’s financeres, and a lovely chocolate chip, priced by weight. What I love best is locals don’t have to go to Trader Joe’s for bread anymore.”

A bakery employee said business has been slow over the first 10 weeks with the winter season. She added that City Hall has held up badly needed signage for the front of the bakery.

The bakery is open 7am-7pm Wednesday through Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday. Check out the new bakery at 1229 Park Street, Paso Robles (805) 296-3062.
