Garbage truck hits telephone pole

9th Street closed at Spring for telephone pole repair

A telephone pole was hit by a garbage truck at Spring and 9th streets this morning at about 7 a.m. Police and fire responded and closed 9th Street between Spring and Park streets. The road closure caused the Sunset North Car Wash to close. The DMV office nearby remained open.

Crews from Pacific Gas and Electric were on the scene repairing the pole at about 10 a.m.
