Get Your Watershed On!
Resource Conservation District hosting watershed workshop
The Resource Conservation District in Templeton is hosting a “Get Your Watershed On!” event on April 27.
It will help local residents increase property values and get information on our watershed with hands-on water quality testing, identifying trouble signs in the riparian zone and fun watershed management techniques taught in-the-field.
The event will be at Lawrence Moore Park in Paso Robles at the corner of Creston and Charolais roads from 9am to noon. Park along the street, walk toward the Salinas River Trail. You’ll see signs and props as you get closer to the River.
Guest Speakers and tour leader is Laura Edwards, executive director of US-LT RCD; Dane Lundy, water testing specialist from Linc Delivery; and Ken Oster, soil scientist with NRCS. “Get Your Watershed On!” is cosponsored by the Resource Conservation District and City of Paso Robles.
The Resource Conservation District in Templeton is a non-profit organization helping farmers and vineyards better manage water, manure, land management, and erosion.
