Habitat for Humanity helping to repair senior’s home 

A Brush With Kindness Repair Program assists homeowner

Habitat for HumanityOver the next week a resident of the Sierra Bonita Senior Community Center in Paso Robles will have reason to celebrate. Her home is getting a brush with kindness from Habitat for Humanity volunteers.

A Brush With Kindness is Habitat’s home repair and maintenance program that assists low income homeowners with keeping their homes safe and livable. From Feb. 13 to 22 From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. volunteers will gather together to rebuild a retaining wall, repaint eaves, fix gutters, and repair a fence.

Habitat for Humanity for San Luis Obispo County launched its A Brush With Kindness in the fall of 2012. This is the sixth home Habitat has assisted with the repair program since it began and there are more to come. With its A Brush With Kindness program Habitat for Humanity volunteers are able to restore neighborhoods one home at a time.
