Hansen Vineyards wins five gold medals at Tasters Guild International Wine Competition

Known for its elegant, deeply nuanced and well-balanced hand-crafted wines, Hansen Vineyards was recently awarded five gold medals at the Tasters Guild 26th Annual International Wine Competition.

The five Gold Medals that went to Hansen’s Cabernet Sauvignons are:

  • Double Gold 2010: 9 Barrel Reserve
  • Double Gold 2009: Limited Reserve
  • Gold 2007: Limited Reserve
  • Gold 2007: Reserve
  • Gold 2006: 3 Barrel

Hansen Vineyards, located on 30 acres in Paso Robles, CA, has a reputation for developing estate-grown, hand-crafted wines that are fermented for a long periods of time to get the maximum extraction from the skins and aged in French oak barrels three to four years before bottling. This dedication to aging their wine is unique in the industry. They use no filtration or blending, and because all processing is done by hand, Hansen Vineyards’ wines are deep, rich and very elegant. As a small, boutique winery, Hansen produces approximately 200 – 300 cases per lot, and approximately 2,500 cases per year.
