PASO ROBLES – Grab your running shoes and join your neighbors at the 15th Annual Family Fun Day and Fun Run on Sunday, Sept. 29 in downtown Paso Robles.
The annual event – a fun-filled day of fitness, food, games and more – is just one way the friendly folks at Heritage Oaks Bank give back to their community. While the family-friendly extravaganza offers participants the chance to showcase their athletic prowess in a 5K or 10K race, there are race events for all ages and skills level as well. From the Not-So-Dirty Diaper Dash for the wee crawlers, the 75-yard dash for kids 5 and under to the half mile run for 5-12 year olds, there is a race for everyone.
Throughout the day, the entire family will enjoy food, games, music and an overall celebration of community in the Paso Robles Downtown City Park. Family and friends of participants are encouraged to cheer on the runners and join in on all of the fun-filled activities, including Bob’s Bouncing Bungalows, the Atascadero Elks Lodge Kids’ Train, face painting by Freckles the Clown Face and Glitter Tattoos by Zany Side-Kick as well as a photo and craft booth.
With paid entrance fee, each participant will receive a T-shirt, pancake breakfast and the chance win raffle prizes. Entrance fees from 2013 will be donated to the Paso Robles Public Library Foundation, Jack’s Helping Hand and CASA of San Luis Obispo County. Last year’s Fun Run raised over $27,000.
