Library is getting in the holiday spirit

Two holiday traditions returning to Paso Robles Library

In the spirit of the holidays, the Paso Robles City Library is once again offering the “Can Your Fines” and the “Giving Tree” programs from November 12 through December 31.

Can Your Fines

Can Your Fines gives library patrons a way to pay off overdue fines while helping out those in need. To participate, bring your food items from the list below to the
main desk and ask to “Can Your Fines.” Library staff will waive $1 per food item, up to $16 per library card account, and collect your food for distribution to the
Food Bank.

Accepted food items:

  • Soup-can or larger cans of meat, chicken, or seafood
  • 1-lb. or larger packages of rice or pasta
  • Boxed family-sized foods such as macaroni and cheese

Dedicate a book to a special person with The Giving Tree

The Giving Tree is the perfect way to purchase a unique gift for a book-loving friend or family member. Just choose a book ornament from the tree and bring it to the main desk with your donation of $25. Once staff receives your selected title and the name of the person to whom you would like the book dedicated, a special donation label will be placed in the book to commemorate your gift. All donations are fully-deductible and support the Paso Robles City Library.

The Paso Robles City Library is located at 1000 Spring Street and is open Monday – Friday 10-8, and Saturday 10-5. For more information on library programs and events, please call(805) 237-3870.
