Home prices bounce 22-percent in Paso
The median price of a home in Paso Robles bounced to $345,000 from $282,500 a year ago, Data Quick News reported.
The 22-percent increase was based on the median price of 47 homes sold in Paso Robles in September of this year. The median price of a home in California was $300,000 which is up 32% from the lowest point of $227,000 in the first quarter of 2009.
There were 260 notices of default filed in San Luis Obispo County in the third quarter of 2012. That’s down from 418 in the same period a year ago. A notice of default is one of the first steps toward a foreclosure. Foreclosures in California are at the lowest point since early 2007.
Short sales continue to make up an estimated 26-percent of all real estate transactions statewide.
