Howl’oween at Sherwood Dog Park is Oct. 26 

Howl'oween at Sherwood Dog ParkDogs are invited to bring their families to trick-or-treat and celebrate the holiday at Sherwood Dog Park in Paso Robles. The event is Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Costumes are encouraged but optional. The pet costume contest is free and open to children and adults of all ages and their pets. The costume contest will be held at 11 am with prizes for the winners.

Free hot cider and coffee will be served; bake sale items will be available for purchase. Holiday family photos will be available for a $10 donation.

Dog and cat rescue groups will attend with adoptable pets to include Meade Canine Rescue, Short-n-Sweet Rescue, and Paws Cause (cats) organization. The North County Humane Society will hold a low-cost microchip clinic at this event. The cost is $15 which includes a lifetime registration.

Proceeds benefit Sherwood Dog Park and Parks4Pups, a non-profit organization. Rain cancels.

Sherwood Dog Park of Paso Robles is located at 290 Scott Street, adjacent to the Senior Center. The dog park is located on the site of the first airport in Paso Robles. The dog park has adopted an aviation theme for park amenities and event publicity.
