Paso Robles Fire Department Battalion Chief Kevin Taylor reports today that “at this point the cause of the fire remains undetermined. Investigators are in the process of conducting interviews to determine if any bystanders witnessed anything suspicious.
Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services Fire Investigators and members of the San Luis Obispo County Fire Investigation Strike Team continue to investigate the cause of the residential structure fire at 614 Olive Street in Paso Robles on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 12:13 AM.
A thorough investigation of the fire scene has been completed and investigators are now interviewing bystanders that witnessed the fire. Anyone with information relative to the fire can contact the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services at 805‐227‐7560. You can also report any pertinent information confidentially to Crime Stoppers at 805‐549‐STOP (7867) or via internet at http://sanluisobispocounty.crimestoppersweb.com/.
A total of seven structures were affected by the fire; property and content loss for these residences totaled $501,000. The two story residence under construction at 614 Olive Street was a total loss while the residence immediately adjacent at 612 Olive suffered $252,000 in damage to property and contents. Total dollar amount saved has been calculated to be $1,402,000.
