IQMS begins major expansion in Paso Robles

Local software company broke ground yesterday on a second 30,000 square foot building at its global corporate headquarters on Wisteria Lane of Golden Hills Road . This reinvestment of nearly $5 million into the additional two-story building will effectively double the amount of square footage at IQMS’ base of operations, the company said in a press release.

The new structure was conceived by RRM Design Group of San Luis Obispo and designed to match the architecture and feel of the current IQMS center of operations. In addition to the secondary building that has begun construction, IQMS has also invested in land across from the two current building sites, setting a forward thinking foundation for an international campus setup.

“Everyone is excited about the expansion of our corporate headquarters and the new juncture this represents for IQMS,” said Randy Flamm, president at IQMS. “The continued support of our customers and our expansion into new manufacturing industries has allowed us this opportunity to reinvest in the company and competitively position ourselves for a steadfast and enduring future.”

The fear of quickly outgrowing the current corporate headquarters is definitely being felt at home. In September alone, IQMS added 16 new employees and expects to hire an additional 120 over the course of the next two years.

“The groundbreaking of our new building could not have come soon enough,” added Flamm. “With nearly 100 employees at our center of operations, we are at capacity. Add to the equation all the recent employees and projected hires we plan to add to the IQMS team and we are practically bursting at the seams. We joke internally that at the rate we are growing, as soon as we move into the new building, we are going to have to immediately begin construction on a third!”
