IQMS showcases new building

IQMS buildingIQMS, a Paso Robles-based software company, debuted its newest building to the community last week. To show off the new building, IQMS hosted the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Membership Mixer.

The new 30,000-square foot office building consists of open office space for inside sales associates, marketing and tech departments. It’s located north of Hwy. 46 East off of Golden Hill Road at 2231 Wisteria Lane, Paso Robles.

It maximizes natural daylight and views of the oak hills for the employees. A two-story, north-facing atrium provides natural daylight to the interior of the building while being shielded it from the heat of the direct sun. Interior planters brings the natural world into the building space that will be shared by clients and employees.

The ground floor is the IQMS training center with four client training rooms facing the atrium and one employee training classroom near the training department offices. These training rooms have moveable walls to allow large size training or large events to occur.

The ground floor also provides employee amenities such as an exercise room with men’s and women’s locker rooms, and interior bike storage area to encourage alternative commuting and healthy living, and an employee break room that opens to an exterior employee patio.

The employee patio is located on the North East side of the building to be sheltered from the sun. It includes a variety of areas for employees to enjoy the outside during a lunch break on raised benches,at patio tables, sheltered by green screen vegetative walls or under the freestanding trellis.

The building includes high efficiency plumbing fixtures, including bottle fill stations for the employees as well as high efficiency LED lighting with an advanced control system for maximum efficiency and flexibility. The site landscaping provides water treatment as part of the rainwater run off thru bioswales located around the building to receive the roof drainage.

IQMS owners, Randy and Nancy Flamm are being honored as the chamber’s 2013 Roblans of the Year for their contributions to the Paso Robles community and their tradition of giving back to the community, the chamber announced in its December newsletter.

IQMS creates software for manufacturing, production monitoring, quality control, supply chain, CRM and eBusiness solutions to the automotive, medical, packaging, consumer goods and other manufacturing markets.
