Light storm leaves little rain, but more expected

Last Friday’s light storm dropped .04 inches of rain on Paso Robles, according to measurements by the Paso Robles Water Yard at 1230 Paso Robles Street. The trace amount of precipitation brings the city’s rainfall total to 9.50 inches this season. The season runs from July to June.

That makes this season the best of the last few years. The 2012-13 season saw 7.18 inches of rainfall. The 2013-14 season saw 6.14 inches. The city’s annual average is 14.11 inches of rainfall.

Forecasts for this week call for an 80-percent chance of rain on Thursday and and 35-percent chance Friday morning.
