Youth World Championship Show: Aubree Scobie needed a Gameplan to win the Novice Youth All-Around title
After only four months as partners, Aubree Scobie of Paso Robles, California, and Gameplan traveled to the Youth World Show and showed off their hard work by winning the Novice Youth All-Around title, reports the Youth World Championship Show.
With six classes under “GP’s” girth during the show, they earned 90 points, including a world championship in Novice Youth Goat Tying 18 & Under and reserve world championships in Novice Youth Pole Bending 18 & Under and Novice Youth Stake Race 18 & Under, the organization reports.
Aubree, 15, just wanted to come to the Youth World Show to have fun—she wasn’t expecting to win the Novice Youth title, the report says. After attending the show several years ago as a spectator, she made it her goal to ride at the show, and when the opportunity arose to compete with GP, a retired veteran show horse, she jumped at the chance. But she also took the time to get to know him before taking him in the show pen.
