On Aug. 7, as a result of their investigation into the theft of copper wire from PG&E’s construction yard in Templeton, deputies with the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Brian Lindemuth in connection with that crime. Lindemuth was spotted loading items into a storage facility in Atascadero.

He was taken into custody where he admitted to stealing the copper wire and then selling it to local recycling centers. He was booked into County Jail on three counts of grand theft, one count of receiving stolen property and one count of possession of methamphetamine. PG&E had estimated the amount of loss at more than $5,000. Deputies were able to recover approximately 360 pounds of copper wire.
