Rio Salon and Spa Undergoes Makeover
Rio Salon and Spa, a Morro Bay salon, has recently completed a stylish renovation that features tranquil, Eastern Asian influenced furnishings, decorative fine art and advanced specialties.
From the ground up, this Morro Bay day spa and salon has been improved with fresh flooring, soothing colors and comfortable spa beds. Additional salon stations and new state-of-the-art equipment have been installed, including an Apilus epilator machine. The shampoo area has been upgraded and an additional room for massage and skin-therapy treatments has been added.
“This has been a true labor of love,“ said owner and hairstylist, Teri Lea Ecker.
Along with the interior enhancements, the salon and day spa has also expanded their services to include custom facials, skin and body treatments, and electrolysis and lash extensions.
“We have an ongoing education program in our salon,” said Teri Lea. “We’re constantly attending classes, spa shows and expositions so we can continue to upgrade the services we provide.”
Teri Lea and her staff believe that a trip to the salon and day spa should not only be about the quality of the experience and service, but also about the licensing, certification and education of the people they’re coming in to see.
Most recently, Rio’s estheticians invited the staff from a local salon to join them for lash extensions certification training. “We brought an educator up from Los Angeles to teach us,” Teri Lea said. “That’s the kind of thing we do on a regular basis.”
