Paso Robles Pickleball Ambassador Jack Hodges recently announced the completion of five new pickleball courts at Centennial Park on Nickerson Dr. off Creston Road.

“The work crew finished today,” he told supporters on May 22. “They did a super job and you can see the results… We’ve come a long way since the days of painter’s tape on an old outdoor roller hockey rink.”

After receiving the OK from the Paso Robles City Council, the club raised funds and paid to resurface, paint and install nets on the court. A group of 400 local players called the Paso Robles Pickleball Club use the courts regularly.

“Thank you for all you have done to make this possible,” Hodges said.

Locals invited to play pickleball

Pickleball is played in Paso Robles at Centennial Park on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings from 8:15 a.m to 11 a.m. Five courts are available and a $3 fee is charged to play. The courts are on the old roller rink near the pool and tennis courts.
