New Tracks Open for Trail Riders

Outback Trail Rides offering new tours

Outback Trail RidesOutback Trail Rides has partnered with two new locations in the Paso Robles area. The Central Coast-based company has teamed up with Cass Winery and Calcareous Vineyard to offer unique horseback adventures through the vineyards and hills of the Paso Robles wine country. Each ride will be paired with a complimentary wine tasting upon return to the winery for those 21 years and older.

“We offer an experience that is so unique, we just couldn’t have our rides in one area. So we decided to choose Paso Robles, where the vineyards are beautiful and the wine is delicious,” said Mick Harper, owner and lead guide at Outback Trail Rides.

“Cass and Calcareous were the perfect locations.” Mick was raised on a cattle property on the North Coast of NSW, Australia and has worked with horses for over 25 years. His knowledge of horses and his international background are key when it comes to giving customers the ultimate outback adventure.

Rides at each of the locations offer a range of scenic views and experiences. Packages at Cass Winery are offered Friday thru Monday, are one hour in length and can be chosen as a horseback ride or a horse-drawn wagon. Packages at Calcareous are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays, other days available by request, and range from one to 1.5 hours. Here riders also have the option of a picnic lunch within the beautiful Paso Robles hills. Up to six riders at each location can be accommodated and private rides can be arranged upon request.

Outback Trail Rides plans to host rides in other Paso Robles locations in the near future, including Adelaida Springs Ranch in July 2013. “This is just the beginning for our rides in the Paso Robles wine region,” said Harper.

Outback Trail Rides has been in operation for five years, with its head location on a private ranch in Cambria, CA. For more information on the Paso Robles or Cambria rides, or to book a media interview/trail ride adventure, please call at (805) 286-8772.
