Hwy 1 / Rocky Creek Viaduct Project continues

Daytime roadwork on Hwy 1 at Rocky Creek continues next week from 7
am to 5 pm Monday, May 6th through Friday, May 10th. Work next week will consist of removing the deck forms and placing the viaduct metal barrier.

There will be no night work or overnight closures from Sunday, May 5th through Thursday, May 9th.
Hwy 1 at Rocky Creek has one-way signalized traffic control 24/7. Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes at a time during daytime roadwork. Full overnight closures will be scheduled five nights a week Sundays through Thursdays – unless otherwise indicated. No overnight closures will occur on Friday and Saturday nights.

The project to construct a permanent viaduct about 1.5 miles south of Carmel near the Rocky Creek Bridge began on September 4th, 2012. Completion of the $11M project is scheduled for the end of October 2013.

4-week closure of southbound on-ramp at Curbaril and 101 starts Sunday night

The southbound Hwy 101 on-ramp at Curbaril Road will be closed 24/7 for a 4-week period beginning Sunday, May 5th at 9 pm.

This closure will allow for reconstruction and repaving of the on-ramp, and is part of the Atascadero Rehabilitation Project which includes the repaving of 11 miles of Hwy 101 from north of the Cuesta Grade to Traffic Way. The $25M project is now 85 percent complete.
