Overnight road work on Spring Street progresses

–Work to replace the water lines and connector on north Spring Street is now being done in the overnight hours.

“On Spring Street between 24th and 36th, all the mainline upgrades for water and sewer have been completed, so now the contractor is now doing tie-ins of all the various water services and sewer laterals and reconnecting them to the new mains and new pipes,” City of Paso Robles Capital Projects Engineer Ditas Esperanza said. “This week, the contractor is working in the night hours. They will be abandoning the old lines and connecting the new lines. They’re doing that at night, so that no one is without service during the day.”

Overnight on Monday night, crews shut down the intersection of 24th and Spring, and shut off power to Flamson school to connect new the water lines.

That work is expected to continue through the week in the overnight hours.
