Tortilleria is now La Reina Sports Bar & Grill

La Reina

The tortilleria on Black Oak Drive was recently transformed into a Mexican grill and sports bar.

The La Reina Sports Bar & Grill is planning a Nov. 22 grand opening to celebrate. It now serves a full menu of Mexican food with its signature fresh tortillas, along with beer, wine and margaritas. The $80,000 remodel includes six large television screens. A stage is under construction for live music every Friday. An outdoor patio will accommodate over 40 diners.

Local musician Louie Ortega is set to play at the grand opening.

The owners, Gary Pederson of Avila Beach and Salvador Ramos of Atascadero, will be moving their tortilleria to a new market they are planning on the north end of Spring Street at 34th Street, where Paso Robles Ford was formerly located. Construction on the new property is expected in January 2014. The pair also own La Reyna Market y Carniceria at 24th and Oak streets and El Camino Car Wash locations in Atascadero and Paso Robles.
