Paso Robles transient died in jail of heart attack
Local transient Joseph Morillo died of a heart attack in the San Luis Obispo County Jail on Nov. 12, the county coroner reported today.
Morillo was booked into County Jail on Sept. 30 by the Paso Robles Police Department and was being held on a felony charge of making terrorist threats. He was found unconscious in a safety cell of the county jail.
The Coroner’s Unit of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office has released the autopsy results for 43-year-old Joseph Morillo. The cause of death is listed as cardiac arrest due to thickening of heart muscle and morbid obesity.
