Pedestrian dies in traffic collision on Morro Road

Saturday evening at 8 p.m. Atascadero police responded to Morro Road, just east of Atascadero Avenue, after a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the roadway.
Emergency personnel responded and arrived on scene a short time later. Personnel from the Atascadero Fire Department and the San Luis Ambulance Company determined the pedestrian had succumbed to his injuries from the collision and was deceased.
The victim of the fatal traffic collision was identified as Dennis Quick, 62, of Atascadero.
Members of the Atascadero Police Department Traffic Unit conducted an investigation and determined the pedestrian had unlawfully entered the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.
