People’s Self-Help Housing taking applications for new development 

–Starting March 12, Peoples’ Self-Help Housing(PSHH) is accepting pre-applications for its new Rolling Hills II affordable housing development in Templeton, CA, for an April 19 lottery drawing.

The pre-applications will be selected at random to determine the order in which they will be processed during a public lottery drawing ceremony at Rolling Hills Apartments (999-E Las Tablas Road, Templeton) on April 19. To be eligible for the lottery, pre-applications must be received or postmarked by April 6, 2018. Applications received after the lottery deadline are placed on a waitlist.

Pre-applications are available in-person at the Rolling Hills Apartments Management Office located at 999-E Las Tables Road in Templeton, by email at rha2@pshhc.orgor online at pshhc.org. Interested applicants can direct questions to rha2@pshhc.orgor (805) 462-0762.

Rolling Hills II will add 30 one- to three-bedroom apartments to the existing Rolling Hills Apartments. The new construction also includes laundry facilities, a barbecue area and tot lot. Residents at both developments will share existing community facilities. Rolling Hills II will serve households earning up to 60 percent of the area median income and rent will be based on bedroom size and unit set-aside. The development is expected to be completed this summer.

Funding partners for Rolling Hills II include the County of San Luis Obispo, CREA, LLC, Housing Authority of the City of San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County Housing Trust Fund and Wells Fargo Bank. Development partners include Rea & Luker Architects, Civil Design Studio and landscape architect Robert Fowler.
