PASO ROBLES – Get over to the Paso Robles Event Center, home of the Mid-State Fair, for a slamming good time as the gals of Central Coast Roller Derby present their September Slam on Saturday, Sept. 14.

In bout one of the doubleheader, the CCRD SR 805 gals will take on the High Country Mountain Derby Girls at 5 p.m. At 7:30, the Paso Aggressive team will face off against A-Town Asylum in the second bout of the evening. Located at 2198 Riverside Dr. in Paso Robles, the Event Center doors will open at 4 p.m.

This family-friendly event is sponsored by local radio station 93.3 KZOZ and a portion of the event proceeds will benefit Woods Humane Society. According to CCRD’s website, since 2006 the league has donated over $35,000 and countless volunteer hours to local San Luis Obispo County charities such as the DeGroot Home, the North County Women’s Shelter, the Women’s Legacy Fund, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of SLO, the Salvation Army, the SLO County Red Cross, SLO Women’s Shelter and more.
