Six arrested for drug charges in crash investigation
On Wednesday, March 5, at about 10 a.m., police officers of the city’s Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant in the 900 block of Larable Court in Paso Robles.
The search warrant was served as part of a continuing Paso Robles Police Department investigation into the suspected DUI traffic collision that occurred on February 23, 2014. The victim, Andrew Phillip Kunz, 19, of Paso Robles, remains in a coma.
Kunz suffered major injuries in that early morning vehicle accident. He was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Isaac Daniel Byers, 22, of Paso Robles. Byers was arrested for felony driving under the influence (DUI). See related story: Teen in critical condition after vehicle collision.
As a result of the warrant served on Wednesday, officers arrested six suspects on various drug charges:
- Joshua Byers, 18, of Paso Robles- Maintaining a residence for controlled substance use, a felony, under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
- Mitchell Cryer, 22, of Paso Robles- Under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and a probation violation.
- Jose Sida-Salazar, 18, of Paso Robles- Under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
- Daniel Zollo, 22, of Paso Robles- Under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
- Anthony Napolitano, 18, of Paso Robles- Under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
