Six injured in Hwy 46 car crash
Several people were injured when two cars collided Sunday evening on Highway 46 East near Jardine Road, according to The California Highway Patrol.
At about 6:10 p.m. a Paso Robles driver of a 2007 Nissan Maxima was westbound on Highway 46. He turned left in front of a black 2001 Toyota Camry driven by a Bakersfield resident, a CHP report says.
The two drivers and two passengers were taken to Sierra Vista. Two other passengers were taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital, according to CHP.
The six injured were not identified. Officers at the scene reported moderate to major injuries. The injured were 5, 25, 30, 60, 53,and 58-years-old.
There were reports that one car caught on fire.
