Cuesta College’s spring semester starts Tuesday, Jan. 21

Cuesta College registrationMore than 8,700 students are enrolled in courses at Cuesta College as of Friday. Although there are fewer individual students attending this spring than last year, the average current course load is up two percent, meaning students are taking more classes. The college is offering 63 more sections of classes than were offered last spring.

Approximately 60 percent of students will take classes at the San Luis Obispo campus, while nearly 20 percent will attend the North County campus in Paso Robles. More than 18 percent are enrolled as distance education students and about two percent will receive instruction at the college’s South County Center, located at Arroyo Grande High School.

There is still time to enroll as registration continues through Feb. 3 with instructor approval. Course fees are $46 per unit. The spring semester will run through graduation day on May 23.

College officials are encouraging Cuesta students to take advantage of free RTA and SCAT rides from January 21 – February 1. Students just need to show their college ID or a copy of a student schedule.

Students with questions regarding registration can call 546-3955.
