Strawberry Blonde Salon offering Botox, Juvederm and Radiesse

Strawberry Blonde Salon

Local women are invited to RSVP for a special event featuring non-invasive facelifts with fillers at Paso Robles beauty salon

Strawberry Blond Salon is hosting a one-day event offering women facial fillers to address unwanted lines and creases. The event is Nov. 9, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“Back by popular demand is nurse Rebecka DeMoss,” says salon owner Shanlee Beavers. “She is a master in Juvederm and Radiesse facial fillers and Botox, too. It helps give us the rested youthful look we all had naturally when we were young.”

Reservations are required to attend and are available by calling (805) 239-4200.

Customers will get the added feeling of helping the less fortunate. The giving spirit has been alive and well here for decades, and now thanks to the friendly staff at Strawberry Blonde Salon in Paso Robles, the impact of that spirit has taken on an added element of beauty.

For the past two years, Strawberry Blonde Salonowner Shanlee Beavers and her staff have played fairy godmother to an underprivileged Paso Robles High School girl, primping and preparing her for a night to remember – her senior prom. And this year is no exception. As the prom season approaches, the Strawberry Blonde staff is once again gearing up to make one lucky teenage girl’s dream come true.

“We have so much fun each year doing hair, makeup, nails – you name it – for a deserving high school senior,” said Beavers. “The girls are so appreciative, so fun to work with and leave here looking like a fairytale princess when they leave our salon. To be honest, I think the staff at Strawberry Blonde is even more thrilled about what we are doing than some of the girls!”

In addition to making prom dreams come true, the staff at Strawberry Blonde Salon participates in a number of community and nonprofit organizations’ fundraising events.

“We believe strongly in supporting local fundraisers that benefit our community,” said Beavers.

The Strawberry Blonde staff and customers have generously donated their time and financial resources to various local causes including collecting and distributing coats to those in need through Coats for Kids; donating shampoo, makeup and hygiene products to the North County Women’s Shelter; providing hair clippings Locks of Love to fashion wigs for cancer patients, and more.

The Strawberry Blonde fundraising efforts have had an impact worldwide as well. After the 2010 BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the staff donated all of their clients’ hair clippings to Matter of Trust, a nonprofit that creates mats that are used to help control and clean up the aftermath of oil spills.

“There are over 370,000 hair salons in the U.S. and each collects about one pound of hair a day,” said inventor and stylist Phil McCrory. “Right now, most of that goes into the waste stream, but it should all be made into hair mats.”

Thanks to the environmentally-friendly staff at Strawberry Blonde, whose involvement with Matter of Trust continues on even today, all clients who visit the salon have the added benefit of knowing that getting their hair cut may also benefit others. Strawberry Blonde Salon, located in downtown Paso Robles at 714 Pine St., serves as a collection site for donations of hair clippings to aid with other contaminations that occur across the world.

Whether demonstrating their commitment to the local community, helping the Earth’s environment or delivering their trademark fusion of artistry, innovation and education to their daily clients by offering a full menu of beauty treatments, the staff at Strawberry Blonde Salon is dedicated to making the world just a bit more fabulous.
