Templeton needs volunteers for annual creek clean-up day

The Templeton Community Service District is asking for the public’s participation in the fourteenth annual Templeton Community Creek Clean-up Day, scheduled on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. This annual project not only helps beautify the community, but it also assures that trash will not end up in local waterways during winter rains, where it can harm important ecosystems.

Volunteers should meet at the Templeton Community Services District Boardroom at Fifth and Crocker Streets, and should remember to wear sturdy shoes and work gloves. Pre-register by filling out the volunteer form available at the Templeton CSD Office at 420 Crocker Street and return it to the TCSD Office, or e-mail Kathleen Hix at khix@templetoncsd.org.

A free barbecue and prize drawing will be held for volunteers following the event. For more information call Kathleen Hix at (805) 434-4914.
