The Wellness Kitchen hosting fundraiser July 25
It’s an evening of music, wine and food to support the Healing Foods program of The Wellness Kitchen and Resource Center. The Wellness Kitchen is hosting a fundraiser July 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It will feature popular local group the Damon Castillo Band. This band kicked-off the summer concert series in downtown Paso Robles. Two of the finest local wineries, Opolo Vineyards and Cass Winery will be pouring and “The Kitchen” will serve a Wellness sampler plate.
“We’re planning on a great response, so please bring your chairs,” says Millie Drum, president of the Wellness Kitchen. The concert will be held in the parking lot behind The Kitchen at 1255 Las Tablas Road (next to Heritage Oaks Bank) in Templeton.
“There will be a special presentation, introductions and you’ll get a ‘closer look at The Kitchen!’,” Drum says. All donations will fund the kitchen’s Healing Foods program that gives nutritious prepared meals to individuals in acute need as a result of cancer treatment and other serious illness.
“I hope you can join us! Our Executive Director Nancy Walker, staff and dedicated volunteers are looking forward to meeting new friends and welcoming our loyal patrons and supporters,” Drum says.
