North County endorsements include:

The top position in the county clerk-recorder’s office became available when Julie Rodewald announced her retirement after serving more than twenty years as the elected County Clerk-Recorder. Gong has served as the Assistant County Clerk-Recorder, the number two position in the office, for more than nine years.

“Tommy Gong has done an outstanding job as Assistant County Clerk-Recorder,” said Pismo Beach City Councilman Erik Howell. “His experience and credentials make him uniquely qualified to continue the truly exceptional professionalism and efficiency of the County Clerk-Recorder. I support him absolutely.”

As the assistant county clerk-recorder, Gong has been involved at the highest levels of the clerk-recorder’s office including conducting all of its elections since 2005, developing annual budgets and departmental policies, procuring and managing grants, negotiating vendor contracts, and implementing new systems.
