Vine Street Victorian Christmas Dec. 8

A manager scene at last year’s Vine Street Victorian Christmas Showcase.

This year the 26th Annual Vine Street Victorian Christmas Showcase will be held on Saturday evening, December 8th, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. It will start at 6:00 P.M. on 21st Street with the Paso Robles High School Bearcat Marching Band opening the evening’s FREE festivities.

Vine Street is one of the first residential streets in Paso Robles with many vintage Victorian homes. The street will be blocked to car traffic from 8th Street to 21st Street. Within this 13-block area all of the homes, offices and schools are beautifully decorated and lit. Many of the homes have entertainment such as choirs, The Grinch, bands, Scrooge, and the Snow King & Queen (who grant your wishes), Santa’s Elves, etc. on their lawns or porches – AND, a mountain of snow for sliding and playing.

There is a Santa Claus House with Santa to meet the children and throughout the route there are people giving away hot cider, hot chocolate, cookies, roasted chestnuts and popcorn. In addition there are strolling groups of carolers and people in costumes from times past. This is a very special “Christmas Present” from the Vine Street neighbors, friends and businesses, the El Paso de Robles Area Historical Society, the Downtown Main Street Association and the City of Paso Robles. It takes many different people and organizations to make our celebration come together.

In addition to the individual neighbors and businesses the following participate: Dancers, choirs, high school marching band, and schools. For further information call: Norma Moye, Chairperson at (805) 238-4103.
