Volunteers wanted for Housing Authority Board of Commissioners

City of Paso RoblesThe City of Paso Robles is now accepting applications for appointments to fill vacancies on the Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. The vacancies “atlarge” openings, which may be filled by any resident of the City of Paso Robles, and one opening for a senior resident of Oak Park Public Housing.

The Housing Authority advises Public Housing Management and determines policy, procedures and direction of the Housing Authority. The Board of Commissioners meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Oak Park Offices, 3201 Pine Street, Paso Robles, CA.

Applications may be obtained at City Hall (1000 Spring Street) or at the Housing Authority (3201 Pine Street). Applications may also be downloaded from the City’s web site at http://www.prcity.com/government/advisorybodies/index.asp.

Per §34270.1 of the Health & Safety Code, all commissioners must be residents of the City of Paso Robles. Failure to maintain residency will cause the office to be vacant. Of the seven commissioners on the Board, two must be residents of the Authority and one must be at least 62 years of age.

Deadline for submitting applications is Friday, February 8, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. Applications may be brought to the City Clerk’s Office or mailed, but they must be received by the deadline.
